Getting paid for rope - sorting is crucial

In 2024, we started up our new rope production line, which cuts, washes and melts used rope into pellets.

We expect increased demand for ropes made from PP/PE materials in 2026. For well-sorted and relatively clean PP/PE ropes in the colors green and yellow, it will be possible to receive payment upon delivery.

On the other hand, prices will increase for unsorted, heavily contaminated ropes containing other waste. More information can be found in our sorting guide here.

Increasing demand for HDPE

We expect an increasing demand for “pipe quality” HDPE by 2026. If you would like a quote, please contact us. We ensure the proper handling of this plastic from the seashore to finished pellets, ready for a new life in other products!

Prices 2026

Oceanize will not be issuing a joint price list for 2026 at this time. The main reason for this is the upcoming producer responsibility scheme for fisheries and aquaculture, which brings uncertainty about how this will be designed. For price requests, please contact us.
