PE/PP mix

PE/PP mix is ​​made from materials that have been used along the coast. Ropes, lines and fiber-based plastic products are used for mooring, securing, handling, tools and daily operations, whether they hold fish farms and vessels in place or are part of the fishing fleet's work to harvest food from the sea.

The Norwegian seafood industry exported 2.8 million tons of seafood last year, worth NOK 181.5 billion. This corresponds to 38 million meals every single day, or almost 14 billion meals a year.

Rope and fibre plastic bind our most important coastal industries – the marine and maritime sector – together. You will find it in the transition between boat, wharf, cage, raft, gear. Rope and fibre plastic are an important part of value chains that create jobs and activity in coastal communities all over the country. Directly and indirectly, the Norwegian seafood industry provides jobs for over 100,000 Norwegians, and is Norway's most important export industry after oil and gas.

We are proud to give used rope and fiber plastic from aquaculture and fisheries a new life through our recycled PE/PP mix granulate. It can be used in new and important plastic products, which are important for many Norwegian jobs. It is also great that the properties and quality of the granulate are good enough to be used in new ropes.
